Poco M2 has been launched through a virtual event in India. As the name suggests, the phone is a tone-down variant of the Poco M2 Pro, which was launched in July as an almost rebranded version of the Redmi Note 9 Pro in india. The Poco M2 brings some impressive specifications for its price, such as the octa-core processor MediaTek G80 chipset, quad rear camera setup and a larger battery. It is offered in two RAM and storage configurations and three color options.

Poco M2 specifications
The dual-sim (Nano) Poco M2 runs on Poco’s MIUI skin based on Android 10 and will soon get MIUI 12. It has a 6.53-inch full-HD + (1,080×2,340 pixels) display. The display comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The Poco M2 has the MediaTek Helio G80 chipset, which comes with Mali G52 GPU and 6 GB LPDDR 4X RAM.

The Poco M2 gets a quad rear camera setup, with a 13-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel sensor with ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5-megapixel sensor with macro lens, and finally a 2-megapixel depth sensor. At the front, you get an 8-megapixel sensor for selfie and video calls. The front camera sensor is placed in the waterdrop notch.

For storage, the Poco M2 offers 128 GB of space, which can be increased via microSD card. Connectivity options on the phone include dual-band Wi-Fi, dual VoLTE support, 4G, Bluetooth 5.0, IR blaster, GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack and USB Type-C port. Poco M2’s sensors include accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light sensor and proximity sensor. The Poco M2 includes a 5,000 mAh battery and maximum charging support is 18 watts. The phone comes with P2i coating for splash resistance.

Poco M2 price in India
The Poco M2 comes in two configurations. The first 6 GB + 64 GB and the second 6 GB + 128 GB storage variants. The base variant costs Rs 10,999, while the top-end variant costs Rs 12,499. The phone has been introduced in options of Pitch Black, Slate Blue and Brick Red colors. It will be available for sale on September 15 from 12 noon via Flipkart.
